Presentation of the trip

Hello, let me introduce myself, my name is Noémie   On this blog you will be able to discover the class trip to the Réunion des Terminales Bac Pro Boulangerie-Pastry and Terminales Service et Cuisine. This trip started on April 9, 2022 and ended on April 19, 2022, but we had been preparing for it for 3 years and ended it with several actions, such as sales of macaroons created by ourselves in high school, but also Easter 2021 sale meal boxes, a meal for the wine fair a few days before the trip. This trip was made up of 42 students We left Lyon Saint Exupéry airport at 2:30 p.m., to arrive in Paris at 1 a.m., to leave very quickly on our flight for the meeting to arrive at 5 a.m. in St Paul (Roland Garros airport) For the departure we left at 6am from the hotel to take off at 10.30am to arrive in Lyon at midnight.   I remember from this trip that Reunion Island is really a continent that I have a lot. A much freer container not in relation to the metropolis and many other count...

Hikings

On this page you will be able to discover some walks that we were able to do all over the island during the trip. Piton de la fournaise: On April 12 we were able to start the hike to climb the volcano and walk on the lava, we didn't go any further because it's raining very hard this day. But we could still see the top of the volcano in a small window with the clouds. A breathtaking landscape of the world Cirques of Mafate  On April 15, we walk of about 40 minutes to climb to a magnificent viewpoint with a clear view for a few minutes, time to take some pictures. With once again a breathtaking view, with completely different vegetation  that we had been able to see before. Cirque of  Cilaos   On April 17, we took a short hike, to arrive at a view of the entire circus, which we could see very well entirely.

Accommodation

  Throughout the stay we stayed in the hotel " Les Aigrettes " , which is located in St Gilles.   As meals, we ate breakfast in the morning between 6 ans 7 a.m and we left very often at 7:15 a.m for the day. The return at the hotel was bettween 5 p.m and 6:30 p.m depending on the program of the day, we could enjoy the swimming pool  with a view of the sea . On this page, you discover all the visits that we have made throughout the trip, in different cities throughout the Island. Visit of the Roulof vanilla plantation in St André: The first vanilla plantation we visited was on the morning of April 11. We were welcomed by Madame Roulof, who explained the whole process to us to have vanilla, the first part outside under the greenhouses, where the vanilla plants grow. But also all the explanations of the second part inside, with all the steps to go from the vanilla which has just been harvested so yellow to the brown color ready for consumption. At the end of the visit we were able to buy vanilla, in pod, liquid, powder…  The visit lasts approximately 1h30.
