Visits

On this page, you discover all the visits that we have made throughout the trip, in different cities throughout the Island.

Visit of the Roulof vanilla plantation in St André:

The first vanilla plantation we visited was on the morning of April 11.

We were welcomed by Madame Roulof, who explained the whole process to us to have vanilla, the first part outside under the greenhouses, where the vanilla plants grow.

But also all the explanations of the second part inside, with all the steps to go from the vanilla which has just been harvested so yellow to the brown color ready for consumption.

At the end of the visit we were able to buy vanilla, in pod, liquid, powder…

 The visit lasts approximately 1h30.
